I'm thinking of running iTunes through Wine so that i can use my iPhone with Ubuntu, i was wondering if anyone else has experienced how well or if at all this works?

Right now, the main thing making me keep a Windows partition is that i'm going to need to connect my iPhone every now and then.

What does not [work]

* Installer
* Syncing to iPod
* CD burning
* Logging into store account
* Song previews from Genius toolbar/store

:-\ Looks like no. If you have jailbroken your iPhone, however, it is possible. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPhone

I don't plan on voiding the warrantee on my nearly 500 phone thanks, lol.
Meh, Windows will have to stay then.
I can already sync to my ipod with AmaroK, so that bit doesn't bother me, but i will need updates and stuff for my phone.

[edit]
If none of that works, what else does iTunes do?
The installed doesn't work ffs, lol.

I just realised that virtualbox has fixed support for iPhones. You could run Windows in a VM if you want. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPhone
