Hi

I'm extremely cheap and dont want to spend $2 on a CD (should i throw in lazy in there too?) so i decided to install using Thumbdrive

I'm having MANY problems.

Could somebody give me a detailed step by step instructions?

I tried to follow the instructions on the Ubuntu site but I can't find the .IMG download nor I have no idea what i'm doing when preparing my Thumbdrive. I know for sure my laptop can boot from USB thou so that's a plus :P

thx

Sir

The image download would be a iso or img. I'm sure you can find an iso.

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/linux/create-a-bootable-ubuntu-usb-flash-drive-the-easy-way/

If you have jaunty installed, it has a usb creator.Click system> administration> usb startup disk creator.
