This is the first time when I see HelloWorld application ( C++ ) being reported as Trojan horse ( immediately deleted ) :lolflag:

We can't have you running that kind of unsafe software now. Move along, nothing to see. ;)

(Though I'd rebuild that app and see if it still checks out as a "virus" by AVG -- if not, then you might have actually had an issue.)

Rebuilding does not help - still reported as Trojan horse :D Anyway, thread is not about "why" - it's just an example for those who still trust Windows XP and AV's ( now, especially AVG ).

Manufacturing trojan horses? Pffft! I expected better of you.

See what it says about this hello world python script:

print("Hello World!")
input("Press enter to quit.")

If you're still using python 2.x:

print "Hello World!"
raw_input("Press enter to quit.")

I'd certainly hope an antivirus program wouldn't report an ASCII Python script as malicious. The Windows apocalypse would soon be upon us.

Looks like a trojan horse ? I don't think so :p
Anyway, at least Python seems to be "clean" to not to be deleted :)

Wow it really makes you wonder what is being tagged that it thinks hello world is a virus
