I just installed SCIM 1.4.7 on Jaunty and I must say I'm disappointed with it... It's difficult to use and seems to be riddled with bugs.
Are there any other options as far as language (and particularly Japanese) support go? Preferably something similar to Microsoft's Language Pack. I'm going to be needing to type papers in Japanese for college and I forsee difficulties having to learn to type one language two different ways.
