I need help manually installing an Intel Pro 1000 Gt driver on my Ubuntu 8.10 Server. I had to move the hard drive which was running on different hardware to a new PC. The new PC has a different NIC and when the server boots it doesn't recognize the new hardware so I have no network connectivity.
The NIC is recognized when running the live boot CD, so the server install CD should have the drivers on it.
Is there a way through the CLI to have Ubuntu scan for new hardware or manually install the driver from the CD?
Thanks
-Sean
