help install ubuntu 8.4

:mad:im trying to install 8.4 because it wont let me install the newest ubuntu

anyway when i goto partiton part when installing i click freespace and follow these instruction from tuturiol

what i used to install the latest ubuntu latest version oon a different computer but after ive followed the instructions creating page file etc.. i get no option to continue or next like the newest version

what do i do?

Can we see a screenshot? My best guess is you have not properly assigned a mountpoint.

two things i did not see in the tuturiol...

#1 do a checksum (check cd), it on your newly ripped cd.

#2 did you burn cd at low speed, something like 4 to 6x?

other then that, this is the live cd? if so, should work
