View Full Version : [ubuntu] Jaunty can't mount the card reader in my multifunction printer

In Intrepid, the card reader functions of my multifunction printer, Brother DCP-385C, were working perfectly: Places > Computer showed several drives and if I inserted a memory card or a USB stick it would mount automatically.

The printer and scanner functions are working perfectly since I installed the drivers available for Ubuntu from the manufacturer's site.

In a Jaunty fresh install, Places > Computer don't show the drives in the card reader and if I insert a memory card or a USB stick it would not mount.

Here is the output of lsusb:

I installed pmount, but that didn't solve my problem.

Can anybody help me or had similar issues?

Well, I have some news (if somebody is interested...)

After I installed usbmount I can mount the memory cards and ubs sticks and the show up un nautilus.
Unfortunately now all functions related to the cards in the printer itself (controlled by its lcd display) are unavailable. I wish I had both...
