Nice. I was just thinking the other day that emesene needed a newer looking interface. Is that in beta or is it a full release? If it's a full release will Ubuntu automatically upgrade it or will I have to do it manually?

Default theme is still the good old emesene as we know it. :)

They've got plans to get it ready by next Ubuntu. Emesene 1.5 itself is a stopgap measure while emesene 2.0, which is a complete rewrite is still in development.

Just a tarball atm. Though it's one that works as soon as you extract it, without needing to compile etc.

1.5 was released specifically to make Karmic Freeze deadlines iirc. The debian/ubuntu maintainer (pochu, I think) is doing the official debs now, should be up in the few few days/weeks.

My earlier post still applies, the gui is still the old familiar one :), just with improved features.
