:KS I just got a new Dell netbook and installed Ubuntu on it. This is the first time I have had a computer running with an OS other than an Apple OS so I'm still getting used to it. I have a jailbroken iPhone 2G (using the quickpwn.com break) but I can't figure out how to get my computer to recognize the iphone when I plug it in. I just want to do a complete system restore to my iphone and start from scratch. Can anyone help a girl out?

iPhones and iPod Touches are still messy with linux at the moment. They will work eventually but this (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPhone) is how you do it for now.

Linux is fun isn`t it.

I had written one guide to Sync iPhone on Ubuntu (http://www.taranfx.com/sync-iphone-linux) with Amarok. Worked pretty well for most.
