I prefer one bottom panel. That is one of the first changes I make to Ubuntu. I have recently noticed that almost all of the panel backgrounds I use have a certain "roundness" and "vividness" to them while on top. They always look nice. If I move the same panel and background to the bottom, they immediately look very "square" and "flat". Why is this? How can I change it?
