so i got a laptop, needed it for school and all that, maybe some light gaming; figured out it wasn't that great on the gaming, and that I was starting to form an interest in linux!
So here's my question, I want to install Jaunty Jackalope on my laptop
it's an inspiron e1505, 2gig ram, radeon x1400 gpu.
Is there any known problems for installing ubuntu 9.04 to it?
also one of my favorite things to do with it, is to watch video from my desktop, will this still be possible? can ubuntu and windows be networked together and "access" eachothers files? like you could between two windows machines?
