Unable to change screen resolution

I changed screen resolution to 640x480 in order to view utube videos more smoothly.
Now I unable to change back to my original (1600x1200) - system does not open with listing - just terminal image.


I have had to log in as another user to post this query.
How exactly can I revert to the original screen and settings?

Problem solved.
To access/change resolution settings I just dragged and dropped lower bar on desktop over to the side of screen - and was then able to adjust settings.
I just wasn't thinking properly.
