Firefox Awesomebar already has search capabilities, so when you type something in the bar it searches for tags, titles and addresses on your bookmarks/history and displays the results dynamically on the pop up. Wouldn't be great if it could also integrate the search engine plugins?

For example, it could dynamically generate a search string using the selected search engine plugin and add the address to the popup. This way we could remove the search bar completely.

What do you think?

How hard it would be to incorporate this feature through an extension?

Does someone knows an extension that do this?

Cybersearch sounds like something you could be interested in.

THANK YOU

That's exactly what I wanted, even better, because I also wanted a way of increasing the number of results in the popup ;)

The keyword feature is very nice too.

Thank you. It's very nice, specially the qLauncher. Nevertheless, the other extension has more options and control of the awesome bar searches.

These extensions combined are great.
