HI ,
I'm running 9.04. This box is collecting solar and wind data and displays the data in a personal web page. The IP of the box 192.168.1.50 . The box that the information is on is 1.10. There are no printers inviolved here or ties to a windows network. This is just a standalone box. running appache2.2 , MySql 5.0 and adobe AIR. It also runs a weather program as well for added info to the web page.
I had read a post of some one with a similar problem everything they were looking at looked like it was correct.
Some time between patch upgrades since going to version 9 I have had issues with Mysql and now another program runnning properly. The programs are failling to find "localhost". I have looked in the local hosts table /etc/hosts and it is there.
I do see I have some line errors that I need to fix at layer 2. That wouldn't stop localhost

why is it I can't see it in an nslookup but I can ping it...
