I have an old POS Montgomery Ward Lawn Mower with 8HP from the 80s it really serves no purpose other than taking up space, until today it hasn't ran for 2-3years. It looks like im gonna have to tear apart the engine because it leaking oil. Any advice where to get parts and what not or how to go about it? Also, I'm thinking about screwing with the throttle to kinda have Low be a medium setting and High to be more of a "WTF" speed. lol there was a setscrew assembly thign that i wedged in full thorottle and caused massive flames to shoot out the side because the muffler was rattling off, so i don't know if it is safe.
So once again any suggestions? OH and I have a 19.5HP yardman that also leaks because it was never properly maintained but thinking of selling it off at my mom's garage sale because I don't want to fix it and I think the 3 speed might be more fun, as it stands with no mods I can get the POS to lift the wheels when it takes off from a stop to 3rd.
