ive downloaded several ppc ubuntu cds and none of them will load on my ibook g4. after the first loading kernel screen i get a mess of errors about hdc (what is that??). i have tried an 8x version and a 9.x version.
i was able to load a gentoo distro just fine. but all i got was a root # prompt and that didnt help me much since i didnt want to do a full linux install. i just want to boot to a desktop from a live cd.
help please ! thanks.
