Hey Folks,
I've currently got an HP / Compaq dc7900 at work with Ubuntu on it and it displays both monitors correctly under gnome.
My preferred desktop environment though is e17. I've currently got dual monitors working by running gnome-settings-daemon as part of the .xsession file though this is a bit of a cludge and doesn't work as expected with e17.
Is there a way to get the effective (that is to say what is currently being used) xorg config and save this to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file?
