I'll admit I am rather new to Linux. I switched because I wanted a 64-bit OS for MySQL and Matlab, but I didn't want to mess with Vista. So far I am pleased with Linux; however, there doesn't seem to be a Dolby Virtual Speaker equivalent like in Windows.

I have a Razer Barracuda AC-1 sound card, and in Windows, I was able to upconvert my headphones from stereo to Dolby 5.1 using the Razer sound card driver. I was wondering if there is way to implement Dolby Virtual Speaker in Linux, or maybe even implement the Windows driver? Thanks in advance.

implement the Windows driver?

if you mean what i think you mean, there is something called "ndiswrapper" which if im not mistaken "wraps" the (windows) driver so linux can use it. no idea how that works though.

even if it doesnt work, Linux is not Windows, sometimes stuff wont work, sometimes it will
