I'm running Xubuntu 9.04. How do you make the icon fonts blend into the desktop wallpaper rather than having a highlighted border around them? Thanks.

You might try THIS LINK (http://xubuntu.wordpress.com/2007/08/27/howto-remove-the-borders-of-your-desktop-icon-text/), but I haven't tried it on Jaunty. Don't know if it still works.
