View Full Version : [ubuntu] Wireless connection

I've just install Ubuntu 9.0 onto my computer and like to install my Dynex wireless adapter to my USB port to be able to connect to the internet can anyone help me. I tried to install the installation CD and were not able to could it be the CD Drivers if so I need some drivers.

Are you sure the installation CD is Linux compliant or simply just made for Windows and/or Mac, as they usually are?

Insert the dongle into a USB port and then run lsusb from terminal in order to find what chipset your card has. Then you can just use Google to search for a tutorial on how to set up the drivers for it or ask more specific questions on these forums. Just saying you have a Dynex interface simply isn't enough info to be able to provide proper help.

I sincerely doubt the cd has packages desgined to be installed on a Linux distribution. TNA - please us the Ubuntu Wireless Troubleshooting Guide (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessTroubleShootingGuide).
