Has anyone had any ubuntu server go into production at work? What company. In my area I see alot of Ubuntu on the desktop but haven't seen it on the server side or debian for that matter in production, only in testing. Its very redhat centric here. Note I have seen it offered by hosting companies, but I'm more talking infrastructure then co-location or rented servers

Ubuntu or debian would be great though, having internal repositories would enable easy version control and updating. I just personally prefer Ubuntu/Debian over redhat/fedora/centos any comments?

I run Ubuntu at work. It's a file and backup server and Primary Domain Controller. Works fine. Very solid. I even run a GUI on top of it as I find a GUI useful in certain circumstances.

I run Ubuntu 8.10 as a network server for a small business. A close friend, runs Ubuntu as a web server for the company that he works for.
