I've just installed Ubuntu 9.04 on my laptop and so far I'm really impressed with Ubuntu's ease of use and compatibility.
My laptops specs are:
Compaq Presario CQ70
Pentium Dual Core Processor T3400
(2.1GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 1MB Cache)
2GB Memory
160GB HD
I've enabled dual core ( followed: http://junkypc.com/enable-dual-core-processors-ubuntu/ )
but that's about it. Are there any 'tweaks' that are recommended to boost performance?
