Hello everyone. Recently I have been enraged at recent Windows commercials. These commercials are the ones where people go shopping for a laptop and at the end of the commercial they say "It's a PC!!". I was just thinking of creating a YouTube channel dedicated to advertising Ubuntu. I am new to Ubuntu but I love how Ubuntu has a community for help, how it is free and that it performs better than Windows. We need to get the word out about Ubuntu. Most people I talk to don't even know about Ubuntu. I think it is a great thing and we need to share it. Also if anyone wants to help me (examples: making videos, talking to people through e-mail and IM trying to convince them to use Ubuntu, and graphic design of the channel) with this please send me a private message.

You may want to see if there is a Local Community Team in your area. It would be a great way to meet other Ubuntu enthusiasts nearby that you may not even know about. Then you can work together to promote Ubuntu in your area.

I agree about those commercials. Both the Mac and Windows commercials would have you believe that PC = Windows, but I'm perfectly happy and proud to say that I have a PC with Linux installed.

Anyone know what the origins of the word PC are? I presume it's Personal Computer in which case what right does Microsoft have to use the word PC in there commercials?

I'd love to see a Linux commercial that says "Where also PC's and yet were so much more" or something along those lines =]
