Nope there is no alpha for fedora 12.

Fedora has a slightly different release schedule then most 6 month cycle releases.

You can always do a netinstall:

go to your local mirror and fetch the boot.iso file e.g. (my local danish mirror and the boot iso for x86_64)

ftp://ftp.crc.dk/pub/mirrors/fedora/linux/development/x86_64/os/images/boot.iso

burn that, boot and give it internet access for the install.

However, you definitely do not want to try out the development branch right now. On my machine and a bunch of others X doesn't even start up correctly, we are very early in the development cycle and people are allowed to break things a little as progress is being made, it is expected to be this way but not desired - F12 has been a lot rougher than usual in my experience, especially the X bits.
