View Full Version : [ubuntu_studio] Ubuntustudio 8.10 thinks my IDE HDD is a RAID and fails

Hi! Does anybody know what to do about this, please?

I tried to install Ubuntustudio 8.10 on an older Asus desktop computer (Celeron 1.8ghz,
512MB ram, 120G Seagate IDE HDD).

When it was detecting disks, it first said: Raid detected. Should I turn on raid support?
that was already strange, because there is no raid.
if I said yes, then it immediately said that disk detection failed.
if I said no, it opened the partioner, but it saw no disk. there was no /dev/hda or /dev/sda to be partitioned.

I then tried regular Ubuntu 8.10 and it had no problem correctly recognizing anything.
I am running it now, but still, I would be happier if I could install ubuntustudio,
because of the low latency kernel and preinstalled programs.

Thank you for any help!!!
