I've been building a budget PC for my sister and reusing her Dell Dimension 2400 case; but I can't complete it because the cable for the case's front panel is too short to reach the motherboard connector.

As far as I know, this type of cable is known as an internal fire wire header cable.

I have done a lot of a searching using Google and I have only found one website which sells an extension cable for a cases front panel, rather than its USB connectors; but my Firefox Netcraft toolbar gives this site a risk rating of 1 and I cannot find reviews of this website anywhere, so I can't trust them with my credit card details. Heres a link to the page of the site which has this cable:

www.pcpartsandcables.co.uk (http://pcpartsandcables.co.uk//product_info.php?products_id=35)

Has anyone had experience of using this website?

Do any of you know of another website which sells this cable?

you could always cut and lengthen the cables yourself, USB and Firewire are low wattage and digital, so splicing your own cables really isnt an issue

Thanks for the help, I've realised that the cables which say they are for extending USB header cables, can be configured to be used for extending the front panel header cable.

I purchased the cable from here:
