Hi all,

I recently reinstalled xubuntu 9.04, but this time I used ext4 instead of 3. I don't know what is causing this, but my KDE apps (amarok and kalarm) will not have any icons in them, nor will they have a system tray icon. There is a blank spot in the system tray where they are, almost like a placeholder, but no icon. Is this something that anyone else has encountered, or better yet has a solution to? Another issue is that amarok will only recognize my AC/DC songs, it has the info for the rest of my collection, but will not play any other tracks.

Thanks
Justin

For the icons, try installing the 'kde-icons-oxygen' package. As for the Amarok problem, you might be missing the required codecs to play them (try installing 'xubuntu-restricted-extras')

Icons fix worked perfectly, I installed the xubuntu restricted modules and am currently installing the other restricted modules to get the playback issue fixed.
