Hi

I have an old laptop I am trying to fix for a friend. I want to install XUbuntu but the CD doesn't work and the network card doesn't work and the bios doesn't support usb boot.

How can I install from USB under these circumstances?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Powel

pull the drive out install it in another laptop, then move it back.

if the system is that old then my best advice is to look for a distro that supports a system that old. Dam Small Linux, Slitaz, Puppy and Debian spring to mind

If I can get it to run Dam Small. How can I install XUbuntu from the USB?

Is that do-able?

Thanks
