I am looking to install Kubuntu onto my computer, and i am given many choices when looking for graphics card drivers. It does provide a way of finding out which to pick from within the OS, but I do not want to install it until I have all the drivers.

My card is an ATI Radeon 9200, and a link to the list of choices can be found here (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/linux64-radeon-prer200.aspx). It also gave me a choice during the OS selection of either Linux x86 or Linux x86_64 and I chose x86 because my computer is only 32 bit.

This is my first time using Linux, so I don't know what to do!
Thanks

Ubuntu already has the xfree radeon driver. It will be set up by default for your card. There are proprietary ati drivers available but there are not available for the latest ubuntu (9.04) for your card because Ati dropped support for the older cards in the newer versions of linux kernels.

Agreed, stick with the default drivers as the proprietary drivers tend to break systems (well, I've had a bad experience with them)...so happy with defaults :D
