I've been using gnome and enlightenment e17 for a few months now. I have graphical login disabled, so I just boot to a terminal and startx. As of yesterday suddenly I can't load gnome. First of all, /usr/local/bin/gnome-session has vanished - but regardless /usr/bin/gnome-session is still there. However, when I try to run it - I get
Cannot open display: without a display number. I've tried running gnome-session with --display, but no matter how I try I either get the same error or a missing argument error. Funny enough, if I execute gnome-session in a terminal while in my e desktop, gnome loads - on top of e. What's up with this? Clues?
