I have this theory that Janet Jackson is the best Dancer of the 80's and that she taught Michael how to Dance.

(Obviously let's leave all the Michael Jackson "Politics" out of this thread).
This is about Dancing.

Why choose? They both can dance. Odds are they have both helped each other out so it just comes down personal preference. Obviously, MJ was known as being a very good dancer...heck, he got everyone to do the moon walk...JJ is good, but not that influential.

I remember babysitting with my (then) girlfriend and the kid was pointing to some artist-of-the-time on MTV and talking about how good of a dancer he was. I watched for a few moments and said "he doesn't hold a candle to Michael Jackson."

One thing is for sure. Janet always had one thing that Michael never did (and especially, not now)... she's very, very easy on the eyes.

Now seriously, I think that they are both great dancers. They have different styles and Michael got a wider audience for his, that's all.

I can appreciate the thought, but I've seen a video clip where they appeared together; I didn't notice any signs of trickery.

I was a rumored joke, at least in this area, during the height of popularity so it isn't "politics", it's nostalgia.

Yesterday I was listening to his music. Hadn't really done that since, uh, ever. It will live on for a long time, well past the sad ridicule he was subjected to. There's something to be said for that.

I would say Michael was the better dancer; the moon walk was awesome. I hate the music played with it, but the dance was insane, the way he performed an optical illusion, so it appeared as if everything behind him was moving, and he was stationary, simply moving his feet.
