View Full Version : [xubuntu] Xubuntu 8.04 - Need Large Cursor Theme for Visually Impaired

This past Christmas, I setup Xubuntu 8.04 on an old laptop for my mom to replace her iOpener, which was dying. The system works outstandingly well, but I've just learned that she has trouble seeing the mouse pointer/cursor. (I've adjusted the fonts/dpi to make the text easy for her to read.)

I've been looking for a cursor theme for xfce4 that is big enough for her, but can't find anything that specifically says large or visually impaired -- anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance . . .

In the xfce menu:

settings->Xfce4 settings manager->mouse->theme

There is an adjustment for cursor size.

Also, you might try gnome-look.org for some cursor themes that are a bit higher contrast.

Download there, and copy the extracted download (the whole folder) to /usr/share/icons
