Hi,
I'm trying to install xubuntu on an old dell latitude laptop which currently has microsoft 2000 pro.
It is fine as far as step 5/7 when I'm asked to enter user data (name/login/password etc.). At this point I can't type anything in the boxes. The mouse pointer changes to the text thing when I move it to a text box, but when I click in the text boxes nothing happens. The mouse (track pad) still seems to function fine as I can select buttons on the page (like the require password radio button, or the forward and back options). The keyboard was working fine a couple of steps before when I tested the keyboard type I'd selected (UK).
Any suggestions?
