I'm running Ubuntu Jaunty (gnome), and I'm interested in trying the KDE 4.3 Beta. I'm a fairly competent user, but for the life of me I can't figure out where to get the packages.

I added
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu jaunty main
But I can't figure out which package(s) to install. Can somebody please point me in the right direction?

I'm not interested in running Karmic until the betas at the very earliest.

As you've enabled jaunty main, if you use Synaptic, kubuntu-desktop will pull in the... Kubuntu Desktop. :)

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop will also do it.

So this will get the 4.3 beta?

I apologise... i forgot that you wanted that in particular. :(

Maybe you would be better off asking at: http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php - probably in the Jaunty Forum, you'll probably get better help than i can give. :)
