linux on mac

guys I am on the way to buy apple mac.but what worries me that I am hardcore linux fan. I have doubts regarding mac runnning linux??

will all the distro of linux will work on mac...??
is there a hardware drivers problem with linux on mac's??
do i have same freedom as I am having on my pc??
and cons of mac[if there is mac user running linux in community ]??

any suggestions are welcomed..
