Hi,

I have recently installed awesome WM. When i start it and run firefox for example, the fonts in firefox are huge, same as when i open an terminal. It also uses big fonts. Looks like font size 18 - 24px or so. And i want font size 9 or 10. Does anyone know how i can decrease my Awesome WM font size?

Some searches told me to change my DPI settings in X-server but i am not sure. Can anyone give some advice?

Thanks in advance.

That seems odd. Try installing the package lxappearance. When you run it, it allows you to easily change your gtk theme, font and font sizes and icons, without the need for the gnome settings manager thing. It may be that your fonts are set quite large there.

Thanks m_duck! I had a quite similar problem with changing the symbols of thunar in awesome. lxappearance worked for me.
