Not able to see close, Minimize and Maximise button in all applications

Dear Friends,

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I installed Compiz Desktop Effect Settings.
After I disabled some settings, Close, Minimize and Maximise button (at top right side) in all applications disappeared. Very difficult to manage applications without these buttons.

How can I regain these buttons.

Hi, hit F11 twice, and it should return. Also check under "View" and be sure that "Full Screen" is not checked. :P

Had a similar issue with compiz and 9.04. Try going into compiz and selecting window art. Let me know if that helps.

I have the same problem too. I create a new user, then login without the problem. I compare the user home hidden files, delete almost compiz, gnome, ..etc configure files, then logout and login again, the problem gone. Then i spent much time to reset previous cinfigures.;)
