thanks for the link. it seems i dont have adept manager. how do i get that. shouldnt it be installed with the OS?

I think it may be (now called) software management. It's been a while since I've KUBUNTU'd. Your Kmenu search tool should be able to find it.

ah ic. the problem is. it says this plasmoid sTasks, which i installed, is installed but it doesnt seem to be working.
