What are "blocked updates"?!

I'm kinda new to KDE (switched from Ubuntu to Kubuntu recently) and I was wondering how to solve this: KDE Control Module lets me know that there are 4 "Blocked Updates": they are basically a new kernel (image, headers, etc...).

When I click on "Apply all available updates" these blocked ones aren't applied. Why? How can I apply them?

see this link if it applies. You will have to ask yourself if you want the new kernel as you are using 7.10 (for the original poster)

What do you mean by 7.10? I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 installed from scratch, I'm reading all posts on the link you've provided, but if those are correct this whole thing is a bug?
