Hi all,
I've recently installed Ubuntu and am really enjoying it. I've been a .NET developer for sometime but have been wanting to transition over into java and use linux for my OS so here I am. I've read on the web that a lot of people want to install eclipse ganymede. I downloaded the tag.gz file to my desktop and extracted the files. I'm able to run the executable but it hasn't installed the program and I have yet to find a good explanation of how to install the files I downloaded. Can anyone point me to a good tutorial?
