Failure to fetch... Skype

I have been getting this error for a couple of days now and am wondering what is the resolve to this?
Running Ubuntu 8.04 and recently installed skype.

Failed to fetch http://download.skype.com/linux/repos/debian/dists/stable/non-free/binary-amd64/Packages.gz 404 Not Found [IP: 204.9.165.82 80]
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I'm still not a pro with ubuntu but.. can you try add the skype repository ?
like here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Skype I did it like that and it worked for me

Thanks NoctisCaelum. I have been reading about Medibuntu and installing Skype that way. Think I will uninstall Skype and go that route.
The alert that I posted doesn't show up every day and Skype works, surprisingly, but the alert is for something, I am sure and I will address it.
