I installed Ubuntu 9.04 I think it is got it form web a week ago.
I could not get Visual effects to be normal or extra(right click/Change Desktop background/ Visual effects.) I looked on google for help and found that I need xserver-xgl
When I go to applications/accessories/terminal and type sudo apt-get install xserver-xgl
at the end of it it says E: Couldn't find package xserver-xgl
How do I get xserver-xgl there and where is it if I need to download it give link.

What type of graphics card do you have?

If you use an NViDIA, try going into System->Administration->Hardware Drivers

If the GFX drivers are listed, select and enable them there, then reboot.
