Keyboard Shortcut

Hello
During my reading e-mails I pressed a combination of keys (space bar probably one of them) and all four workspaces were displayed across the centre of the screen.
I was unable to reproduce afterwards.
Have searched forums but cannot find any reference ( may not be asking correct question)
Can anyone help me with this ?

try holding down the "windows" key while using the mouse wheel, while the desktop is the active window. Does that reproduce it?

It's probably Windows Logo + E, which brings up the Compiz Expo plugin.
