My laptop has multiple partitions. xp pro and Vista are running with VistaBootPro controlling the startup. Is it possible to install Ubuntu in a ext3 formatted partition and somehow still get to boot all three OS's? I used Paragon to blow off the Acer Vista restore partition and reformat it to ext3. I'd love to have a third choice: Ubuntu.
I'm a little timid to trash the dual boot system with a stupid move installing Ubuntu. Nobody seems to boot anything other than two systems, and VistaBootPro thinks that Windows is the only operating system in existence. I have a feeling that were I to install Ubuntu onto the ext3 partition, I'd send the rest to Alphabet Heaven. Byte Hill. *sigh*
Any advice is welcome now--the runway is in the front. Let me know!
