View Full Version : [ubuntu] Any progress on an update to fix the ext4-delete kernel lock-up problem?

I've been having a lot of problems with kernel lock-ups when deleting files from ext4.

The release notes say this: "it is expected that a fix for this problem will be made available as a post-release update".

Does anyone know if/when this update is coming?

And by "update", I'm assuming that it will be a package install that fixes the specific problem, right?

If the update is coming soon, then I'll wait for it. If not, I'll reformat with ext3.

I don't know anything about the releases but post number 102 on this page may be of some help.

Every single 2.6 kernel I've tested in Ubuntu still has the Lock-Bug.

Its a sad day when Fedora 11 is 100 times more stable than Ubuntu ...
