Transparent Dropdown Menus - Text!

Hello to the Ubuntu Forums!

Ok so i wanted the sexy transparent menus and so far i have done it using CCSM, i just would like to know IF and HOW i can get the Text in the drop down menus to be opaque, and the actual menu to be transparent, because it seems it makes the whole menu transparent incududing the text which isnt so great (for me)

PS im on Ubuntu 9.04 - pretty much out the box so to speak.

Two things to try:
1. Install gnome-color-chooser, it is very helpful in changing colorations for better visibilty
2. In CCSM, > Accessibility > Opacity, Brightness and Saturation, try changing the settings there.
