I've just recently installed Conky and have it running on my desktop, and I thought it was cool, until I read this post on Lifehacker.
Someone has used as one example of his dektop config, a Halo 3 wallpaper, but the really neat bit is that he is able to interact with various elements of the wallpaper image.
I don't know anything about Rainmeter other than it's a Google app and that it probably runs on Windows only.
Wouldn't it be cool to have something like this on Linux? Check out the links below.
