I am out of ideas, and the fourm posts regarding this topic have lead me nowhere.
Whenever I plug in my Nvidia fx 5200 card, ubuntu fails to boot. IT gets about 1/10th of the way through its loading bar and stops. I have tried envyng, I have tried manually installing the driver, nothing is working. I can't even boot into recovery mode.
I am using Ubuntu 9.04. If anyone has been successful in installing this card, your methods would be much appreciated. I am fairly new to ubuntu, so if any terminal use is required, please be specific with commands.
