I'm a long time user of Xubuntu, it works great for me and does what I need it to do, I never really have had any problems with it. I decided to try the Fedora 11 XFCE Spin just for the heck of it. I installed it on a second hard drive on the same machine that I run Xubuntu on which has an AMD2600 processor and 512 mb of ram. While Xubuntu has always ran perfectly fine on this machine Fedora 11 XFCE Spin was so slow and choppy it wasn't even usable even after I turned off indexing. Does anyone know why this might be?
