I've read and done every tutorial I can find on this from 7x to 8x info. When I search for 9.04 it seems the information just dries up, as if "it just works" for everyone else.

I've tried making a Gnome-ppp [gksu gnome-ppp] starter for it with all the proper settings. Ubuntu sees the modem just fine as /dev/ttyACM0, dials, gets an IP and just sits. No traffic, period.

I've tried using Wireless Networks/Mobile Broadband settings, creating a new Verizon dialer with all the proper settings, try to connect and all I get is "network disconnected"

# is #777, pass is vzw, I've double and triple checked the phone number for the username.

I've tried it logged in as root or as my normal user account. Same in both.

The device was activated and is working perfectly in a Windows environment.

Laptop is Dell Latitude E6500, Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit.

Any ideas?

Someone can just go ahead and delete this. I'm a moron.

Password was VZW not vzw.

Amazing how someone with over 15 years of IT background can make WebTV users seem somewhat technically-minded.
